Happy Christmas!!

Happy Christmas to you all, from us in Tanzania!
We hope you had a nice day celebrating this special time of year.

Here are a few shots of our family Christmas with Claire, spent at our home here in Dodoma.
The chefs, in the heat of the kitchen, attempting an English-style roast (with a veggie option for Claire as well). Thankfully, Christmas Day was a lovely overcast day, meaning that it wasn't too hot to eat our roast chicken dinner!
Christmas Day feast:
Gift-giving has a unique flavour of its own in Dodoma, where the luxury of a box of cereal (so expensive to buy over here) was a popular present amongst the Parkers of Dodoma!

Moshi the cat delighted us with her very own gift, producing 2 tiny kittens on Christmas Eve, which we discovered in the flowerbed on Christmas morning, on our return from the service at the cathedral:

  2. Good to see you all looking so well, happy, and healthy. Wish we could have been there to share the day with you, the cereal seems to have gone down well !!. The big question is 'What are you are going to do with two more cats ?' A

  3. Looks like you all had a lovely day. It seems strange to see a Christmas tree & you all wearing Summer clothes. We missed you here but are looking forward to multiple celebrations on your return. Belated Christmas's, a birth, 1st birthday, 3rd Birthday, 5th Birthday etc etc! I think Daniel would be equally happy with a box of Coco pops - "treat" cereal in our house. Love to you all. Jx

  4. Well, Elizabeth, what a fantastic Christmas cake! I thought it was from Selfridge's or M & S (like your wedding cake which I brought home on the bus). The smoothness and uniformity and spottiness of the currants was marvellous. Have you saved a slice for me? You can pop it in the post for me. I'll know what it is when I get it. Keep up the good work! Dad
